Hi my pet!

Hermit Crab Habitats

Although hermit crabs may be purchased in tiny terrariums, they require a much larger habitat to live comfortably. A hermit crab will be fine in a 10-gallon or larger aquarium. Line the bottom of the tank with sand or stones, so your pet(s) have an easier time walking around.

Two shallows dishes of water are required - one filled with salt-water and one filled with dechlorinated fresh water. Additives can be purchased at pet stores to be added to water for each of these. Having sponges in each dish works well in helping hermit crabs obtain the water, and in adding humidity to the habitat. It’s a good idea to place the water dishes down into the substrate (gravel, sand, etc.), to prevent the crabs from knocking it over while they may attempt to dig under or climb over the dishes.

Tarantulas As Pets

Spiders can make great pets! I wouldn’t suggest anyone with arachnophobia (fear of spiders) having one as a pet, but even beginner pet owners can take care of some types of spiders.

Tarantulas are the most common type of spider kept as a pet, and have become more and more popular as a pet in recent years. Although people tend to fear keeping a tarantula as a pet, it is often more harmful to the animal than to the pet owner. Tarantulas can die from a short fall if their abdomen ruptures, so great care must be taken when handling one.

There are some famous veterinarians who have made a difference in this world of ours. Their biggest contributions have helped to aid defenseless animals in some important way and for that alone they should be singled out and commended. But also in addition to their great accomplishments as a rule which no one can deny as it is evident to all. They are also great humanitarians for if you can love animals and want to protect everything that is connected to them and are concerned for their general well being. You are definitely worthy of the highest respect and appreciation overall.

Keeping Degus As Fascinating Pets

A small caviomorph rodent native to Chile is the Degu. The caviomorphs are characterized by their large heads, plump bodies, slender legs and short tails. They are also distinguished by the formation of their jaws and massafer muscles. The degu is sometimes also called the glitter-tailed rat though it is not related to the rat family.

The rodents are highly social creatures living in burrows. They dig together communally to make larger and more elaborate burrows than what they could do individually also. There are chains formed by degus digging together and coordinating their activities. The social behavior is also observed in case of the females who live in the same group who not only nest communally but also nurse the young of each other.

Treatment Of Betta Fish Diseases

The main reason of the diseases of betta fish is internal pressure. The pressure can be a result of several different things. The most widespread disease is infection.

Betta Fish Care and Treatment: “Maracyn 2” by Mardel is suggested. Maracyn-2 is a all-purpose antibiotic tablet which is utilized for popeye, fin and tail rot, gill ailment, dropsy, septicemia, secondary and inner infections. It is essential that the treatment be absorbed within the beta fish to cure the infection. Regular water changes twice a week, in addition to higher temperatures may also aid the beta fight off the infection himself.

Betta Fish Shows

Small wild Betta fish still swim in the rice paddy channels of Southeast Asia, protecting their bubble nests from all interlopers. Though lively, the Betta fish are far removed from their familial relatives, normally called Siamese fighting fish.

Wild Betta fishes will fight to protect their area but they are street fighters in comparison to the Sweet Pea Whitakers of the pet trade i.e. the familial Betta fishes. The wild Betta fishes are not so much colorful as the familial Betta fishes nor are their fins as long and as attractive as their familial counterparts. However the genes are certainly there. When a Betta fish - untamed or tame - meet another Betta fish, they both act in response impulsively. The color of their body becomes dark noticeably, as if flushed in irritation, and their straggling fins flash open and sit up, erect like a fan prepared to fight the summer heat.
